Happy 2008 from Dennis Moreland Tack
Congratulations to the winners of the 2007 NCHA Futurity who received Dennis Moreland Tack bits/headstalls/ reins as part of our NCHA sponsorship program. Dennis Moreland Tack had a wonderful 2007 NCHA Futurity as well. We renewed friendships with lots of old customers and met many new ones. Being a part of the NCHA has contributed to a major part of our success over the past 32 years and we hope to continue for many more.
We are continuing to strive for improvement in our expanding product line, maintaining the same premium quality raw materials, careful workmanship, attention to detail, and response to the needs of horsemen.

Matlock Rose
The death of Matlock Rose on January 5, 2008, brings the end of an era. Matlock was one of the premier horsemen of his genertion. He was not just a cutting horse trainer and exhibitor who won all of the major cutting events during his long career and produced horeses whose names lead the redcord books. He was an individual who could "do it all"........from halter to roping, to knowing just how a mare would "nick"with a certain stallion. He was also a friend, a teacher and a source of encouragement.
Matlock's criteria of a horse was simple...and to the point. He once told me, "All I want in a horse is to have him behind the bit, between the bridle reins and between my legs."
In 1977 Matlock Rose gave me the design for the long slot ear headstall which has been a standby ever since. I will always remember the day that we were down on the floor, tracing the pattern off on a brown paper sack. Over the years, he made many suggestions for tack and trainging equipment which I have incorporated in my product line.
There have been many great horsemen in the sixty years of the National Cutting Horse Association but, Matlock Rose was one of the best.

For well over a quarter century Dennis Moreland cinchas have been a standby with top horsemen in all disciplines and are well-know for their strength, comfort and long wear. The handcrafted buckles are made from round Stainless Steel rod so they will not rust, have washers on each side of the tongue, so that it will pull straight and, are designed to prevent galling . Nylon webb center straps, with 1" Stainless Steel dees, keep the cincha straight and prevent twisting. Nylon webb keeper on right side for off latigo.
