Description: The noseband on this sidepull is crafted from firm 3/8″ nylon rope, which is specially designed to ensure it lays correctly from the first ride. The headstall is made of single ply 3/4″ tight-fibered harness leather with a 5/8″ throat latch. This sidepull comes with slot conchos which are the safest and most secure conchos available. You can see the photos on the left for instructions on slot concho removal and application. The buckles on this Chuck Frasier Sidepull #CP40 are stainless steel with the leather below the buckles stitched to keep them in place.
How it works:
Since this sidepull is considered a bitless bridle, it is designed for use on the adult horse and is a great tool to avoid putting pressure on the horse’s mouth while maintaining plenty of control. With the design of this sidepull, the stainless-steel shanks come against the opposite side of the horse’s face with a direct rein pull so the horse starts his turns without leaning. Put your leg on him once the turn is started to teach him to complete the turn without leaning. The noseband in combination with the dog chain curb provides a strong signal to stop.

Price range: $200.00 through $253.00Description: This Dennis Moreland Tack Sliding Gag Bit with Twisted Wire Snaffle #20-42 is built with a center bar on the bit cheeks which limits the movement of the sliding mouthpiece to provide quicker action and instant relief. The hard lay nylon cord allows the bit to slide easily. The cord is attached to a stainless steel buckle which attaches it to adjustable single ply 3/4 inch harness leather cheeks. How it works: The simultaneous pressure on the mouth from the sliding gag bit and on the poll from the twisted, shaped, stainless steel or the leather crown increases control of the nose and improves total balancing power to produce the ultimate in vertical flexion and feel. Because your rein aids are strengthened with the gag, your leg cues given at the same time become reinforced and easier for the horse to respond to. You will be able to better concentrate on fine details of your training rather than large rebalancing or repositioning efforts regardless of your type of riding. This gag bridle is an excellent training tool for both young and older horses that need to improve flexibility and response. Your horse will learn that when it breaks at the poll the release will be instant, smooth, and consistent. Since these gags release so quickly your horse is not trapped in position while it waits for the release to occur. This helps horses stay calm and confident in training and also when they are in competition. The leather crown works well with this twisted wire mouthpiece on horses that want to drop their heads while continuing to pull on the bit.

How it works: The weight of the heel knot allows it to fall quickly when the pressure on the rein is released. This releases the pressure of the noseband on the face. It is 1 3/4 inches wide and made of doubled and stitched latigo leather. The smooth stainless steel chain link in the center makes it more flexible than similar hobbles with leather centers such as the #H3L No Buckle Hobble. This should only be used on horses that are completely hobble broke.

Bosal 3/4 Inch #HU3

At any given time we have this hackamore available in a variety of patterns which may include all rawhide, all kangaroo, rawhide body with kangaroo nose button and heel knot or kangaroo body with rawhide nose button and heel knot. Bosal size: The 3/4 Inch Bosal is hand braided of hand beveled rawhide and or kangaroo for a smooth finish. The core is 12 plait and the 7 inch nose button is 20 plait. At 5 inches in width between the hanger buttons this bosal is available in 10, 11 & 12 inch lengths from top to bottom (see picture for a guide to sizing). General recommendations for bosal length: the 10 inch bosal will fit a horse with a small muzzle, usually those 14.2 hands and under that weigh 900 lbs. or less. The 11 inch bosal will fit a medium size muzzle and will fit the majority of horses. The 12 inch bosal is made to fit a larger horse, generally those horses 15.2 hands and over that weigh 1250 lbs. or more, but is dependent on muzzle size. Call to see if we currently have the size you need available.
Heel Knot: The heel knots on all Dennis Moreland Bosals are heavy to give instant release when the pressure on the mecate is released. A special addition to all Dennis Moreland Bosals is the spacer inside the heel knot, between the cores, which gives the mecate space to lay correctly. This is a very nice improvement over bosals with no spacer.
Hanger: This bosal comes with a handmade 3/8 inch Latigo California Style Hanger. The hanger is hand edged, rubbed and waxed.
Mecates: You may buy the bosal without a mecate for no additional charge or with one of 3 mecate options; the #DMR5 Nylon Mecate, or the #DK3 or #DK5 Mane Hair Mecates (see dropdown for choices and prices):

#DK3 and #DK5 Mecates: These 6 strand Horse Mane Hair Mecates are firmly twisted by an expert twister around horsehair cores and are 22 feet long. The 1/2 inch #DK3 and the 5/8 inch #DK5 have good body and yet a very soft hand. They are designed to meet the requirements of refined feel for even the most discriminating hackamore reinsman. Single Rope Hackamore with Rawhide Nose #HV21
Price range: $332.00 through $442.00Description: This is a beautiful hackamore that fits correctly. The nose button is covered in hand braided rawhide. Each strand of the rawhide is beveled by hand on all 4 edges so it lays smoothly on your horses face. The noseband is 5 inches wide between the cheeks and 10 1/2 inches long.
The headstall is made of single ply Hermann Oak harness leather and the brow band is doubled and stitched. The headstall adjustment buckles are stainless steel. This hackamore comes with a nylon fiador. The fiador is easy to tie (ties just like a rope halter) and will prevent the hackamore from being pulled or rubbed off.
Rein choice: This hackamore is available with any rein in the hackamore rein category. Make your selection in the dropdown. The rein you choose will be tied to the hackamore before it’s sent to you.
How it works: Besides being eye-catching, the rawhide on the nose button gives a slightly stronger signal than a plain rope noseband gives. It also keeps the hackamore rounded across the nose.
