Description: The Roper Breast Collar #BC3 has a shaped rough-out harness leather body that tapers from 2 3/4 inches to 1 3/4 inches. The body is lined with burgundy latigo leather with a sheepskin lined chafe under the center dee. Tugs are 1 inch single ply leather. The adjustable hold down strap is doubled and stitched 3/4 inch harness leather with an easily adjustable buckle. Leather is edged, hand-rubbed, treated with Neatsfoot Oil and hand-rubbed again. Ring, dees, buckles and snap are stainless steel. This heavy breast collar is stout and will last for years.

Latigo Slide Ear Headstall #HS28
$115.00Description: This doubled and stitched headstall has a sliding earpiece and adjustment buckles on each side. This beautiful headstall is made of latigo leather with hand braided rawhide keepers. The beveled stainless steel roller buckles give you ease of adjustment. The half inch space between the adjustment holes on the cheek pieces allow for very fine adjustments so you can get the bit positioned just right in your horse’s mouth. The leather beneath the buckles is hand stitched together to prevent the buckles from slipping. You won’t ever have to slide the buckles up the cheek pieces when you need to adjust the size, they always stay right in place.

Crafting: To make a doubled and stitched latigo headstall we take 2 pieces of burgundy latigo and split them to the correct thicknesses. Next, we carefully cut the desired shapes. Then it’s stitched together and edged, hand-rubbed, treated with Neatsfoot Oil and hand-rubbed again. Doubled and stitched leather is more durable and longer lasting than single ply leather and also has a nice eye-catching appearance. The doubled & stitched items are not thicker than single ply leather so still have that good feel in your hands and on the horse.
This headstall has teardrop bit ends and comes with your choice of slot conchos, conchos or tie string bit ends (see dropdown).

$30.00Description: This replacement strap fits all breast collars and leather martingales. It’s made of doubled and stitched 3/4 inch harness leather with a beveled stainless steel buckle and snap. The leather is sewn together beneath the buckle to prevent the buckle from slipping down the strap. This strap has been edged, hand-rubbed, oiled with Neatsfoot Oil and hand-rubbed again to give it a very nice finish.

$138.00Description: The Basket Stamped Slot Ear Headstall is made of 5/8 inch double and stitched skirting leather. It has a precisely designed slot to fit comfortably on the ear of any age or size horse. There is one beveled stainless steel adjustment buckle with a hand braided rawhide loop keeper. The extra hand stitching just below the buckle prevents it from slipping. The headstall is completely handmade and hand stamped.

The adjustable hold down strap is 3/4 inch wide with a 3/4 inch snap and buckle piece to connect it to the cinch. The tug straps are 3/4 inch wide. The ring, dees, buckles and snap are all beveled stainless steel. The leather is hand edged, hand-rubbed, treated with Neatsfoot Oil and hand-rubbed again. $118.00Description: The 3/4 Inch Two Buckle Slide Ear Headstall #HS23 is made of single ply heavy harness leather that is 3/4 inch wide and is designed with teardrop bit ends The sliding ear piece on this headstall is doubled and stitched. The leather is hand-edged, hand-rubbed, oiled with Neatsfoot Oil and hand-rubbed again. The buckles are beveled stainless steel. The leather beneath the buckles is hand sewn together to prevent the buckles from slipping. They’re always right where you need them when you adjust the size of the headstall for another horse.
This headstall is available in 3 sizes (see dropdown). The small horse size has a 28 inch crown and is designed to fit horses under 14 1/2 hands. The average horse size has a 33 inch crown to fit horses approximately 14 1/2 to 15 1/2 hands. The large horse size comes with a 36 inch crown and is designed to fit horses over 15 1/2 hands.
