Description: We make the Double Off Latigo #DO1 just the right thickness to be very strong but not leave a lump under your fender. These Latigos are 1 3/4 inches wide by 4 1/2 feet long and fit well on any of my cinches. They are made from firm, tight-fibered burgundy latigo leather that has been edged, hand-rubbed, and waxed. They are exceptionally high quality, have great feel, and will give you years of service.

8″ Aluminum Shanked Bit #B8
Price range: $199.00 through $228.00Description: The 8″ shanks on this bit are made of aluminum. They are lighter weight than a steel bit which makes this a milder bit than a steel bit. It’s designed so the junction at the mouthpiece and shanks will never pinch a horse.
This bit is available with your choice of 9 mouthpieces. All the mouthpieces are 5 1/8 inches wide (see picture). All except the #0 Mouthpiece are made of steel with inlaid copper strips to promote salivation. The #0 Mouthpiece is made of soft rubber. How it works: Bits with aluminum shanks are milder than steel bits because of their light weight. This bit offers the ultimate in feel and control when you need a light touch but want the quick signal the 8 inch shanks provide. This is a nice switch when a horse needs a softer signal than a steel bit and it helps promote relaxation in a tense horse. It’s also great to lope in before showing. Many horses can be ridden continuously in this bit.

Slobber Straps #ZL
$33.00Description: Slobber Straps #ZL add extra weight to the bit end of your mecate. This weight causes a quicker release of the pressure on the mouth from the bit when the pull on the reins is released.
These slobber straps are made of 2 inch x 5 1/2 inch (folded) racetrack harness leather, the most durable leather available. They have been edged, hand rubbed, oiled with Neatsfoot Oil and hand rubbed again. These straps are sold in pairs.

Short Latigo #L2
$72.00Description: We cut our Short Latigos to measure 1 3/4 inches wide and 5 1/2 feet long. Every latigo is handmade from firm, tight-fibered, burgundy latigo leather. We edge, hand-rub, and wax each latigo by hand. These are exceptional quality and have great feel. We guarantee it will be the best latigo you’ve ridden.
How it works: These will fit everything from a very small colt or horse to one that is big, if you have the correct size cinch. This short latigo is made to go around the cinch and saddle dee one time. If you happen to like an extra thin latigo to have the ultimate in close contact with your horse, just give us a call at 832-529-9226 when ordering to have your latigo run through the splitter to thin it. It will also be re-edged and rewaxed before it’s sent to you.
