5/8″ XX Harness Leather Split Reins #ASR3
$135.00Description: This is the biggest selling rein we make. The XX reins are just right for people who ride cutters or cow horses. These reins are hand made from heavy harness leather and are 7 to 7 1/2 feet long and 5/8 inch wide which gives you enough length to pitch your horse the slack when you lay your hand down. These are short enough to ride our little cutters with or ride with contact or tune on your horse when needed and heavy enough to show in.
Crafting: Heavy harness leather bridle reins are very special to us. Every effort is made to give you the best rein you have ever had. 1/2″ Latigo on Latigo Reins, Medium Weight #BLL4
$149.00Description: If you’ve got smaller hands and are looking for a double and stitched rein with body and drape but not too much bulk these are a good pick. In your choice of 7 feet or 7 feet 9 inches long, these Medium Weight Latigo on Latigo 1/2 Inch Reins are our best selling double & stitched reins for ladies and youth with small hands. Because they are light, but drape so well when a horse is shown on a really loose rein, these are also a favorite with reiners. We make the 7’9″ length for average size horses. The 7′ length works for those who are training the smaller cutting & cow horse colts and for disciplines like ranch sorting where horses are shown gathered up through continuous quick turns. Choose the length you prefer in the dropdown.
These are made of medium weight leather that’s approximately 18 oz. making the reins 9/32nd of an inch thick after they’re stitched together. These reins are edged by hand, rubbed, oiled and rubbed again. This extra hand work adds to their great feel. Every detail we put in their production coupled with the fact we buy only the highest quality hides to make our reins gives you that good even contact with your horses face you’re looking for.
These reins are built to last.

5/8″ DM Harness Leather Split Reins #ASR6
$135.00Description: We recommend these reins if you’re riding colts or other small horses. These heavy harness leather reins measure 6 1/2 to 7 feet long and 5/8 inch wide. These are also an ideal length if you’re riding in a snaffle, sidepull, sliding gag, or German martingale. They are long enough to have plenty of rein to work with but they won’t drag the ground or get in your way on those colts and horses that are under 14.2 hands.
Crafting: This tight fibered harness leather will last for years of hard use. They are hand edged, hand rubbed, oiled and hand rubbed again for a great feel before they are shipped to you. If you have any questions please feel free to call 832-529-9226 and we’ll “talk reins”.
