The Round 5/8 Inch Nylon Mecate #DMR5 is 22 feet long and is made of round 5/8 inch braid-on-braid nylon rope. This mecate, also known as a McCarty, has a nylon tassel at one end and 5/8 inch leather popper at the opposite end (the rawhide popper and tassel with rawhide button shown in the pictures is unavailable). It’s easy for a horse to feel the texture and weight of this Braided Grass Hackamore Rein #CHR1 on its neck. This, in turn, helps colts understand neck reining cues. This hand braided grass rein is braided with a smooth solid braid that’s 1-inch-wide x 16 feet long. It doesn’t stretch and has been waxed to give it a longer life. Note that this rein can be a little scratchy on your hands.
