Description: “Take ‘em up to rope, let ‘em out to ride” This DM 5/8″ Adjustable Roping Rein is crafted from 5/8″ racetrack harness leather that has been edged, hand-rubbed, treated with Neatsfoot Oil and hand-rubbed again for a great feel. The beveled stainless steel buckle is sewn in. This adjustable roping rein has stainless steel snaps and a wire loop. The rein adjusts to between 7 and 7 1/2 feet.

$149.00Description: Dennis worked closely with the same tannery for years to find a thicker hide just for these 5/8″ Latigo on Latigo Heavy Weight Reins #BLL2. Two pieces of heavy latigo (total of 24 oz.) are tightly stitched together to make this rein 3/8” thick. They’re cut 5/8” wide and either 7′ or 7′ 9″ long (see dropdown for length choices). The 7′ length works well for training the smaller cutting & cow horse colts and for ranch sorters who keep their horses really gathered up through continuous quick turns. The 7’9″ length is a great rein for horses that are 14.2 hands or taller and for riders who want a lot of drape in their reins.
These are a very heavy rein that allows for superb contact with a horse’s face. Dennis’ heavy weight latigo on latigo double & stitched reins are more pliable than the harness leather on latigo reins #BLH58 but they aren’t too heavy or stiff. If properly cared for, they will last for years. Like all of Dennis’ reins, they are hand edged and rubbed. $135.00Description: This Latigo Roping Rein with Rawhide Knots #RR23 is built with hand braided rawhide knots on each end for easy and quick change-outs between bridles. The end of each rein has a slot that slides over the rawhide knot to attach the rein to the bit. The rawhide and the latigo tassels look great on the ends of this rein!
This rein is 5/8 inch wide and 7 1/2 feet long. The latigo has been hand edged, hand rubbed, oiled with Neatsfoot Oil and hand rubbed again for that great feel in your hands. The slots and rawhide knots allow you to change this rein in a snap and they hold the rein securely after they’re attached.

These reins are hand made from heavy harness leather and are 7 to 7 1/2 feet long and 5/8 inch wide which gives you enough length to pitch your horse the slack when you lay your hand down. These are short enough to ride our little cutters with or ride with contact or tune on your horse when needed and heavy enough to show in.

Round 3/8″ Nylon Mecate #DMR3
$108.00Description: This is a nice mecate to use on your 2 rein bosalita, your snaffle, or to use at home on any hackamore. This Round 3/8″ Nylon Mecate #DMR3, also called a McCarty, is 22 feet long and is made of round 3/8-inch nylon rope. It has a nylon tassel on one end and a latigo popper on the other end. Because of the narrow diameter this is a good rein for smaller hands. The mecate is only available in brown. The tan mecate shown in the picture on the horse is currently unavailable.
