Performance Rein with Training Fork #CM6
$101.00 – $107.00Price range: $101.00 through $107.00Description: The Performance Rein is made of 5/8-inch solid braid nylon rope in your choice of 7 foot and 9 foot lengths. The exceptional quality of this rope makes it so easy to quickly adjust this rein in your hands. The 7 foot length is built to ride smaller cow and reining bred colts in. The 9-foot length is great for any horse. For safety the rein comes with leather rein stops on each end to prevent the rings of the training fork from becoming hooked on either the rein ends or the shanks of your bit. There are 3/4-inch leather rein ends (water loops) securely attached to both ends of this continuous rein.
The adjustable training fork is made of tan 1/4-inch solid braid nylon rope with two 1 1/2-inch stainless steel rings tied to the ends for the rein to run through. A stainless-steel snap attaches it to the cinch.
How it works: The continuous rein lets you train with close contact to the bit and with either one or both hands on the rein. The training fork will apply pressure to the rein and bit anytime the horse’s head rises above the desired headset position. You simply adjust the length of the cord that connects to the cinch to place the training fork rings in the correct position for each horse you’re riding.
Do not let the horse drop its head to the ground because it can step on the rein or training fork and cause an accident. When you dismount, immediately unsnap the training fork from the cinch.
This Performance Rein is available in Brown and Tri-color (see pictures at left). Select the color you prefer in the dropdown.
Also shown on the horse is the 3/4 Inch Short Cheek Browband Headstall #HS25, the Offset D Ring Snaffle Bit #19 and the Single Buckle Leather Curb Strap #CU31.

5/8″ Latigo on Latigo Reins, Medium Weight #BLL1
$149.00Description: Dennis cuts these doubled and stitched reins 5/8” wide. He makes them in two lengths: 7′ for horses under 14.2 hands and 7’9” for horses over 14.2 (see dropdown for choices). These Latigo on Latigo 5/8″ medium weight reins have very good feel and body.
To make these reins Dennis sews 2 pieces of latigo leather together with small, tight stitches. This makes the reins 9/32nd of an inch thick. All of the work is done by hand. He edges these reins by hand, rubs them, oils them and rubs them again.
How they work: This is Dennis’ 50th year making cowboy tack and he knows which leather makes the best reins. He personally chooses each hide he uses to make sure you’ll have good even contact and communication with your horse. There are no gray signals with these reins.
These are our best selling doubled and stitched reins and are a favorite in the show ring. They will hold their flexibility and shape even in cold weather and they are built to last.
