Performance Rein #RR30
$54.00 – $60.00Price range: $54.00 through $60.00
Description: This continuous Performance Rein #RR30 is made of 5/8 inch solid braid nylon rope. It’s available in 7 foot and 9 foot lengths. The exceptional quality of this rope makes it so easy to take your horse up or give him some slack. The 7 foot length is built to ride on smaller cow and reining bred colts. The 9 foot length is great for any horse.
This rein has harness leather rein ends (water loops) so you can securely attach the rein to your bit. It feels especially good in your hands and is excellent if you’re on a budget. Choose brown or tri-color (shown on horse) in the dropdown.
How it works: This continuous rein lets you rope, run barrels or train with close contact to the bit. Use one or both hands without ever worrying about losing a rein. Excellent for pleasure riding, too! Legal in AQHA, and most other association’s, speed events.
This rein is also available with a training fork and rein stops. To view click: Performance Rein with Training Fork #CM6.
Also shown on the horse is the 3/4 Inch Short Cheek Browband Headstall #HS25, the Offset D Ring Snaffle Bit #19 and the Single Buckle Leather Curb Strap #CU31.

5/8″ XX Harness Leather Split Reins #ASR3
$135.00Description: This is the biggest selling rein we make. The XX reins are just right for people who ride cutters or cow horses. These reins are hand made from heavy harness leather and are 7 to 7 1/2 feet long and 5/8 inch wide which gives you enough length to pitch your horse the slack when you lay your hand down. These are short enough to ride our little cutters with or ride with contact or tune on your horse when needed and heavy enough to show in.
Crafting: Heavy harness leather bridle reins are very special to us. Every effort is made to give you the best rein you have ever had. We work closely with the tannery to get only the finest dense, tight fibered leather available. We cut the reins in pairs, hand edge, hand rub, oil and hand rub them again for a great feel before we ship them to you. This tight fibered harness leather will last for years. Please feel free to call 832-529-9226 and we will “talk reins”.

Nylon Rope Cavesson w/Rawhide Braided Nose #CA1
$155.00Description: The noseband on this 3/16″ Nylon Rope Cavesson w/Rawhide Braided Nose #CA1 is made of round 3/16 inch rope. The nose button and heel knot are covered in hand braided rawhide. The headstall is made of 1/2 inch burgundy latigo leather with a leather loop keeper. The buckle is beveled stainless steel. The headstall leather just below the buckle is handsewn together to prevent the buckle from slipping when the headstall is adjusted. There are hand braided rawhide ring knots on the noseband to hold the headstall in place.
This cavesson comes in small (19 in.), medium (21 in.), large (23 in.) and extra large (25 in.) (see dropdown). In general a small will fit a horse under 14.2 hands and 900 lbs., a medium will fit a horse between 14.2 and 15 hands, a large will fit most horses between 15.1 and 16 hands and the extra large is for those over 16 hands.
Size Measurement: An easy way to be certain to get the correct cavesson size is to wrap a leadrope around the nose where the cavesson will lay, mark the leadrope with a magic marker, straighten it and then measure the leadrope. When measuring, be sure to wrap the leadrope loosely enough that the horse will have enough room between his nose and the cavesson to be comfortable and to be able to hold the bit. A good rule of thumb is 2 fingers width between the nose and cavesson (which is the diameter of most leadropes) if the horse is trained to a cavesson.
This is our favorite for a horse that has advanced beyond the leather and string cavessons. It gives the strongest signal of any of our cavessons. It looks good on a horse.

5/8″ Latigo on Latigo Reins, Medium Weight #BLL1
$149.00Description: Dennis cuts these doubled and stitched reins 5/8” wide. He makes them in two lengths: 7′ for horses under 14.2 hands and 7’9” for horses over 14.2 (see dropdown for choices). These Latigo on Latigo 5/8″ medium weight reins have very good feel and body.
To make these reins Dennis sews 2 pieces of latigo leather together with small, tight stitches. This makes the reins 9/32nd of an inch thick. All of the work is done by hand. He edges these reins by hand, rubs them, oils them and rubs them again.
How they work: This is Dennis’ 50th year making cowboy tack and he knows which leather makes the best reins. He personally chooses each hide he uses to make sure you’ll have good even contact and communication with your horse. There are no gray signals with these reins.
These are our best selling doubled and stitched reins and are a favorite in the show ring. They will hold their flexibility and shape even in cold weather and they are built to last.
Try a pair; it will be the best pair of doubled and stitched reins you have owned, we guarantee it.
