Description: The straps on this Curb Strap with Dog Chain #CU11 are made of two 1/2 inch pieces of harness leather that are hand-edged, hand-rubbed and waxed. A 4 inch piece of chain is attached between the straps. The beveled buckles, dog chain and wire loops are made of stainless steel.
How it works: This curb delivers a strong signal and is the strongest of all the chain curbs I make.

Steel C Shank Bit with Silver #A4
Price range: $451.00 through $566.00Description: The bit has “Buster Welch” style 6 1/2 inch shanks made of high quality 4130 grade steel and overlaid with beautiful hand engraved nickel silver. Four mouthpieces are available (see pictures). All mouthpieces are 5 1/8 inch wide, are made of steel or steel and copper, have inlaid copper strips to promote salivation, and are made in the diameters listed in pictures and dropdown. The bit comes with the #BH51 3/8 inch Latigo Leather Bit Hobble as shown.
How it works: The angle of this shank allows time for the horse to respond to the reins being adjusted (pulled) before the mouthpiece contacts the sides of the mouth, tongue and roof of the mouth and the curb strap makes contact with the chin or vice-versa when the reins are released. This truly is a great little shank! Almost all horses respond to this shank with confidence and contentment. This is a favorite with professional horsemen.

Double Buckle Leather Curb Strap #CU21
$36.00Description: My Double Buckle Leather Curb Strap is a really good all around curb that is both AQHA legal and NRCHA legal on a bridle. This curb is made of single ply 5/8 inch harness leather that is hand-edged, hand-rubbed, treated with Neatsfoot Oil and hand-rubbed again. The buckles are stainless steel. The leather under the buckles is hand stitched together to prevent the buckles from slipping out of position.
How it works: This curb gives a mild and very consistent signal. It’s made of quality leather that doesn’t stretch or get limber with use. The holes are precisely punched to be the same on each side of the curb. This is a real easy curb to adjust and has plenty of adjustment for any bit and any size horse.

Eggbutt Snaffle Bit #18
$150.00Description: The Eggbutt Snaffle Bit #18 is made of Stainless Steel. The mouthpiece is 5 1/8 inches wide, slightly bowed and has inlaid copper strips to increase salivation. It is 3/8th inch in diameter at the corners of the mouth and gradually tapers to 1/4 inch in the center.
How it works: When each rein is pulled the eggbutt snaffle bit will give a clearer signal than a ring snaffle because there is a larger area of contact on the corner of the mouth and contact on the opposite side of the face. This helps the colt to bring his whole face through the turn rather than just his nose. This bit is NRCHA & AQHA legal.
This is my favorite snaffle and I use it on almost all my young horses. Dennis

Bled Double Buckle Curb Strap #CU30
$45.00Description: The Bled Double Buckle Curb Strap #CU30 is made of 1/2 inch latigo leather that has been bled (braided) in the center. The bled leather has more texture than a flat leather strap. The texture increases the feel of the curb. The buckles and wire loop keepers are stainless steel. The leather under the buckles is hand stitched together to prevent the buckles from slipping out of position.
How it works: This curb has a lot of feel on a young horse without the advanced signal of a chain. It makes a very nice transition curb when you need just a bit more signal than a leather strap but don’t need the strong signal of a chain curb strap. This curb is not legal on a shanked bit in AQHA classes. It does make a great training curb.
