Description: The Single Buckle Leather Curb Strap #CU31 is made of 5/8 inch hand-edged harness leather that has been hand-rubbed, treated with Neatsfoot Oil and hand-rubbed again. The buckle is stainless steel and the leather under the buckle is hand stitched together to prevent the buckle from slipping out of position.
How it works: This is designed for use on a Ring, Offset D or Eggbutt Snaffle Bit. This nice functional curb is built of high quality materials that will hold up through years of hard use. It will not stretch or get limber with use and is easy to adjust.

Price range: $199.00 through $228.00Description: The 8″ shanks on this bit are made of aluminum. They are lighter weight than a steel bit which makes this a milder bit than a steel bit. It’s designed so the junction at the mouthpiece and shanks will never pinch a horse.

How it works: Bits with aluminum shanks are milder than steel bits because of their light weight. This bit offers the ultimate in feel and control when you need a light touch but want the quick signal the 8 inch shanks provide. This is a nice switch when a horse needs a softer signal than a steel bit and it helps promote relaxation in a tense horse. It’s also great to lope in before showing. Many horses can be ridden continuously in this bit.

Steel C Shank Bit with Silver #A4
Price range: $451.00 through $480.00Description: The bit has “Buster Welch” style 6 1/2 inch shanks made of high quality 4130 grade steel and overlaid with beautiful hand engraved nickel silver. Four mouthpieces are available (see pictures). All mouthpieces are 5 1/8 inch wide, are made of steel or steel and copper, have inlaid copper strips to promote salivation, and are made in the diameters listed in pictures and dropdown. The bit comes with the #BH51 3/8 inch Latigo Leather Bit Hobble as shown.
How it works: The angle of this shank allows time for the horse to respond to the reins being adjusted (pulled) before the mouthpiece contacts the sides of the mouth, tongue and roof of the mouth and the curb strap makes contact with the chin or vice-versa when the reins are released. This truly is a great little shank! Almost all horses respond to this shank with confidence and contentment. This is a favorite with professional horsemen.

Double Buckle Curb Strap with Rawhide #CU41
$72.00Description: The Double Buckle Curb Strap with Rawhide #CU41 is made of single ply 5/8 inch harness leather that is hand-edged, hand-rubbed, treated with Neatsfoot Oil and hand-rubbed again. Beautiful hand braided rawhide keepers and flat rawhide braid at the chin are added to complete the look. The buckles are stainless steel. The leather beneath the buckles is sewn together to prevent the buckles from slipping during adjustments.
How it works: The braided rawhide at the chin gives a quicker signal than a leather curb. It comes in contact with the chin slightly before the leather. The braided rawhide also gives a stronger signal than plain leather because of it’s texture. This curb may be really helpful on a horse that isn’t responding to the pull on the reins as well as it should with a leather curb. This curb gives a stronger, quicker signal than a leather curb but not as strong as the Double Buckle Curb Strap with Rawhide Ball #CU42.

$40.00Description: For use on any shank bit, this bit hobble has a beautiful hand braided rawhide ball and hand braided rawhide loop keepers. It is made of 1/2 inch latigo leather and is 5 1/8th inches wide. The latigo leather is edged hand-rubbed and waxed.

Double Buckle Leather Curb Strap #CU21
$36.00Description: My Double Buckle Leather Curb Strap is a really good all around curb that is both AQHA legal and NRCHA legal on a bridle. This curb is made of single ply 5/8 inch harness leather that is hand-edged, hand-rubbed, treated with Neatsfoot Oil and hand-rubbed again. The buckles are stainless steel. The leather under the buckles is hand stitched together to prevent the buckles from slipping out of position.
How it works: This curb gives a mild and very consistent signal. It’s made of quality leather that doesn’t stretch or get limber with use. The holes are precisely punched to be the same on each side of the curb. This is a real easy curb to adjust and has plenty of adjustment for any bit and any size horse.
