The braided rawhide covering the crown and sliding ear piece is beveled so it’s smooth to the touch. The ear piece is designed to fit both small and large horses comfortably. This is a tough headstall that will last through years of use. It looks great in the show pen!

Snap and Buckle for Breast Collars and Martingales #ZE
$30.00Description: This replacement strap fits all breast collars and leather martingales. It’s made of doubled and stitched 3/4 inch harness leather with a beveled stainless steel buckle and snap. The leather is sewn together beneath the buckle to prevent the buckle from slipping down the strap. This strap has been edged, hand-rubbed, oiled with Neatsfoot Oil and hand-rubbed again to give it a very nice finish.

The adjustable hold down strap is 3/4 inch wide with a 3/4 inch snap and buckle piece to connect it to the cinch. The tug straps are 3/4 inch wide. The ring, dees, buckles and snap are all beveled stainless steel. The leather is hand edged, hand-rubbed, treated with Neatsfoot Oil and hand-rubbed again. How it works: The cheek pieces on this headstall are shorter than average and shorter than the similar #HS24 headstall. The shorter cheeks assure that the buckle pieces will not get close to the horse’s eyes. This is especially nice on the horse with a small head but works well on any size horse. This headstall is available in 2 sizes (see dropdown). The small horse size has a 33″ crown to fit horses 15 hands and under and the large horse comes with a 36″ crown and is designed to fit horses over 15 hands.
