This mecate, sometimes called a McCarty, is 22 feet long and used on both hackamores and snaffle bits. $10.00Description: The Rein Stops are made of harness leather and measure 2 inches in diameter. They will fit any of the leather reins made at Dennis Moreland Tack. Reins Stops are made to go on the bit end of your reins and should be put on at the bit end.
How they work: Use these Reins Stops to prevent the rings on a martingale from getting hung up on the ends of your bit or on the bridle rein ends. This is a very good safety tool for very little investment. Sold by the pair.

It’s easy for a horse to feel the texture and weight of this Braided Grass Hackamore Rein #CHR1 on its neck. This, in turn, helps colts understand neck reining cues. This hand braided grass rein is braided with a smooth solid braid that’s 1-inch-wide x 16 feet long. It doesn’t stretch and has been waxed to give it a longer life. Note that this rein can be a little scratchy on your hands.
