The Round Nylon Hackamore Rein #CHR6 is made of 5/8 inch braid on braid nylon. It’s 16 feet long with 5/8 inch leather poppers at each end. This is a high quality rein at a very reasonable price. In your choice of 7 feet or 7 feet 9 inches long, these Medium Weight Latigo on Latigo 1/2 Inch Reins are our best selling double & stitched reins for ladies and youth with small hands. Because they are light, but drape so well when a horse is shown on a really loose rein, these are also a favorite with reiners. We make the 7’9″ length for average size horses. The 7′ length works for those who are training the smaller cutting & cow horse colts and for disciplines like ranch sorting where horses are shown gathered up through continuous quick turns. These are made of medium weight leather that’s approximately 18 oz. making the reins 9/32nd of an inch thick after they’re stitched together. They are 1/2 inch wide and have 5 adjustment holes (with room for more) to allow you to change the length between 4 1/2 and 6 inches. The roller buckles are stainless steel. The leather beneath each buckle is hand stitched together to prevent the buckle from slipping down the strap during adjustments. The hand braided rawhide loop keepers make these quality straps even more beautiful. They add a nice accent to rawhide, kangaroo or leather romal reins!
How they work: These straps will safely connect your romal reins to your bit. The stainless steel roller buckles allow easy and quick adjustments in length. This rein is made of round 1/2 inch white nylon rope in the center where it ties to the hackamore. The remainder of the 16 foot length is 5 plait nylon handbraided over the 1/2 inch center for a heavy rein with a real soft feel in the hands.
