Description: These XXX 5/8-inch-wide reins are heavy and at 7 1/2 to 8 feet are long enough to really roll them some slack. This length is ideal for those who show horses in a variety of classes in the curb bit. They give you the feel you need to win. The reins lay nicely off your horse’s neck and shoulder when held in one hand but they’re not so long that they’ll drag or get stepped on. The tail of these reins won’t interfere with your horse’s natural gait.
Crafting: Heavy harness leather bridle reins are very special to us. Every effort is made to give you the best rein you have ever had. We work closely with the tannery to get only the finest dense, tight fibered leather available. We cut the reins in pairs, hand edge, hand rub, oil and hand rub them again for a great feel before they’re shipped to you. This tight fibered harness leather will last for years. Round 3/8″ Nylon Mecate #DMR3
Description: This is a nice mecate to use on your 2 rein bosalita, your snaffle, or to use at home on any hackamore. This Round 3/8″ Nylon Mecate #DMR3, also called a McCarty, is 22 feet long and is made of round 3/8-inch nylon rope. It has a nylon tassel on one end and a latigo popper on the other end. Because of the narrow diameter this is a good rein for smaller hands. The mecate is only available in brown. The tan mecate shown in the picture on the horse is currently unavailable.

Braided Grass Hackamore Rein #CHR1
$121.00Description: If you’re looking for a hackamore rein that will really help you get a good turn on your colts this is an excellent choice. It’s easy for a horse to feel the texture and weight of this Braided Grass Hackamore Rein #CHR1 on its neck. This, in turn, helps colts understand neck reining cues. This hand braided grass rein is braided with a smooth solid braid that’s 1-inch-wide x 16 feet long. It doesn’t stretch and has been waxed to give it a longer life. Note that this rein can be a little scratchy on your hands.
This is a very useful rein to have when you’re training colts or tuning up older horses because this rein really helps your horses learn to respond to pressure. It’s high quality and will last.
