The Round 5/8 Inch Nylon Mecate #DMR5 is 22 feet long and is made of round 5/8 inch braid-on-braid nylon rope. This mecate, also known as a McCarty, has a nylon tassel at one end and 5/8 inch leather popper at the opposite end (the rawhide popper and tassel with rawhide button shown in the pictures is unavailable). In your choice of 7 feet or 7 feet 9 inches long, these Medium Weight Latigo on Latigo 1/2 Inch Reins are our best selling double & stitched reins for ladies and youth with small hands. Because they are light, but drape so well when a horse is shown on a really loose rein, these are also a favorite with reiners. We make the 7’9″ length for average size horses. This tight fibered harness leather will last for years of hard use. These are stamped X on the ends, just like the Dennis Moreland X Reins, the difference is in the length.
