Description: Slobber Straps #ZL add extra weight to the bit end of your mecate. This weight causes a quicker release of the pressure on the mouth from the bit when the pull on the reins is released.
These slobber straps are made of 2 inch x 5 1/2 inch (folded) racetrack harness leather, the most durable leather available. They have been edged, hand rubbed, oiled with Neatsfoot Oil and hand rubbed again. These straps are sold in pairs.

The beveled stainless steel buckle is sewn in. This adjustable roping rein has stainless steel snaps and a wire loop. The rein adjusts to between 7 and 7 1/2 feet.

How it works: Horse mane-hair mecates are widely used in the California-vaquero tradition. A horse responds to the feel of the horse hair on their neck better than to many other materials. Round 3/8″ Nylon Mecate #DMR3
$108.00Description: This is a nice mecate to use on your 2 rein bosalita, your snaffle, or to use at home on any hackamore. This Round 3/8″ Nylon Mecate #DMR3, also called a McCarty, is 22 feet long and is made of round 3/8-inch nylon rope. It has a nylon tassel on one end and a latigo popper on the other end. Because of the narrow diameter this is a good rein for smaller hands. The mecate is only available in brown. The tan mecate shown in the picture on the horse is currently unavailable.

Rein Stops #ZA
$10.00Description: The Rein Stops are made of harness leather and measure 2 inches in diameter. They will fit any of the leather reins made at Dennis Moreland Tack. Reins Stops are made to go on the bit end of your reins and should be put on at the bit end.
How they work: Use these Reins Stops to prevent the rings on a martingale from getting hung up on the ends of your bit or on the bridle rein ends. This is a very good safety tool for very little investment. Sold by the pair.
