Round Hackamore with Rawhide Nose #HV60
$308.00 – $418.00Price range: $308.00 through $418.00
Description: The noseband on this Round Hackamore with Rawhide Nose #HV60 is made of a single piece of 3/8 inch nylon rope covered with hand braided rawhide. The headstall is made of 5/8 inch latigo with a 1/2 inch bled browband and has a nylon fiador. The hand braided ring knots on the noseband keep the headstall from slipping.
Rein choice: This hackamore is available with any rein in the hackamore rein category (order in dropdown). The rein you choose will be tied to the hackamore before we send it.
How it works: The round shape of the noseband allows for an instant and a very consistent signal anywhere on the face. The noseband comes in 2 sizes; 21 inches in circumference for close contact and very quick action and 23 inches in circumference to decrease the speed of the signal very slightly (see dropdown). The latigo headstall is lighter than a harness leather headstall allowing for faster communication than harness leather. This hackamore is made to be a training hackamore rather than for starting colts.
Hackamore is shown with the brown #CHR6 Round Nylon Hackamore Rein. Price with this rein is $308.00.

Sidepull #CP38
$199.00Description: The noseband on the Sidepull #CP38 is made of 3/8 inch firm nylon rope specially designed to lay correctly from the first ride. The headstall is made of single ply, 3/4 inch, dense, tight-fibered harness leather and has a 5/8 inch throat latch. The leather has been edged, hand-rubbed, oiled with Neatsfoot Oil and hand-rubbed again. The buckles and rings are all stainless steel.
Reins: If you’d like to purchase reins for your Sidepull some of our most popular choices are the #ASR6 DM Harness Leather Split Reins, or the #BLL1 Latigo on Latigo 5/8″ medium weight reins. At 6 1/2 to 7 feet either of these reins will work well on the smaller colt or horse. At 7 to 7 1/2 feet, the #ASR3 XX Harness Leather Split Reins are a good choice for the bigger colt or horse (generally 15 to 16 hands). Many of our other reins can also be used on this Sidepull. Visit the rein category to purchase your choice of reins separately.
How it works: Sidepulls are a good piece of equipment to use for starting colts, or to transition colts to from a soft rope hackamore. Using a sidepull is a nice way to teach young horses to move through turns with their noses first without putting any pressure on their delicate mouths. Once the colt is turning well with direct pressure from the sidepull a trainer will move to the snaffle, hackamore or bosal.
Sidepull is shown with the #BLL1 Latigo on Latigo 5/8 inch Medium Wt 7 ft Reins.

Chuck Frasier Sidepull #CP40
$271.00Description: The noseband on this sidepull is crafted from firm 3/8″ nylon rope, which is specially designed to ensure it lays correctly from the first ride. The headstall is made of single ply 3/4″ tight-fibered harness leather with a 5/8″ throat latch. This sidepull comes with slot conchos which are the safest and most secure conchos available. You can see the photos on the left for instructions on slot concho removal and application. The buckles on this Chuck Frasier Sidepull #CP40 are stainless steel with the leather below the buckles stitched to keep them in place.
How it works:
Since this sidepull is considered a bitless bridle, it is designed for use on the adult horse and is a great tool to avoid putting pressure on the horse’s mouth while maintaining plenty of control. With the design of this sidepull, the stainless-steel shanks come against the opposite side of the horse’s face with a direct rein pull so the horse starts his turns without leaning. Put your leg on him once the turn is started to teach him to complete the turn without leaning. The noseband in combination with the dog chain curb provides a strong signal to stop.Watch the video “The Secret to using the Chuck Frasier Sidepull” to learn more.
Shown with ASR3 XX Harness Leather Split Reins.
