Bosalita size: The rawhide used in this 1/2 Inch Bosalita is precisely hand beveled for a smooth finish. The 1/2 inch core is 12 plait and the 7 inch nose button is 20 plait. At 5 inches in width between the hanger buttons this bosalita measures 12 inches from top to bottom (picture at left). This is a top quality, functional bosalita for your 2 rein horse.
Heel Knot: The rawhide heel knot on the Dennis Moreland Bosalita is heavy to give instant release when the pressure on the mecate is released. A special addition to the Dennis Moreland Bosalita is the spacer inside the heel knot, between each side of the core, which gives the mecate enough space to lay correctly. This is a very nice improvement over bosalitas with no spacer.
Hanger: This comes with a 3/8 inch handmade latigo California Style Hanger. The hanger is hand edged, rubbed and waxed.

#DK1 Mecate: This Horse Mane Hair Mecate is twisted on a horsehair core and is 22 feet long. This mecate has a firm twist, good body and a very soft hand. We will be happy to tie your mecate to your bosalita when you purchase them together but you may need to adjust the wraps to fit your horse after you receive it.

How it works: This hackamore is really comfortable for the horse. It lays flat on the nose and is very soft. It’s designed to be used for warming up in the warmup arena before entering the show pen and it really allows a horse to relax. This hackamore is the mildest of all the hackamores we make and gives slightly less signal than the #HV41 Soft 4 Plait Loping Hackamore.

Chuck Frasier Sidepull #CP40
$271.00Description: The noseband on this sidepull is crafted from firm 3/8″ nylon rope, which is specially designed to ensure it lays correctly from the first ride. The headstall is made of single ply 3/4″ tight-fibered harness leather with a 5/8″ throat latch. This sidepull comes with slot conchos which are the safest and most secure conchos available. You can see the photos on the left for instructions on slot concho removal and application. The buckles on this Chuck Frasier Sidepull #CP40 are stainless steel with the leather below the buckles stitched to keep them in place.
How it works:
Since this sidepull is considered a bitless bridle, it is designed for use on the adult horse and is a great tool to avoid putting pressure on the horse’s mouth while maintaining plenty of control. With the design of this sidepull, the stainless-steel shanks come against the opposite side of the horse’s face with a direct rein pull so the horse starts his turns without leaning. Put your leg on him once the turn is started to teach him to complete the turn without leaning. How it works: The weight of the heel knot allows it to fall quickly when the pressure on the rein is released. This releases the pressure of the noseband on the face. Single Rope Hackamore with Rawhide Nose #HV21
Price range: $332.00 through $442.00Description: This is a beautiful hackamore that fits correctly. The nose button is covered in hand braided rawhide. Each strand of the rawhide is beveled by hand on all 4 edges so it lays smoothly on your horses face. The noseband is 5 inches wide between the cheeks and 10 1/2 inches long.
The headstall is made of single ply Hermann Oak harness leather and the brow band is doubled and stitched. The headstall adjustment buckles are stainless steel. This hackamore comes with a nylon fiador. The fiador is easy to tie (ties just like a rope halter) and will prevent the hackamore from being pulled or rubbed off.
Rein choice: This hackamore is available with any rein in the hackamore rein category. Make your selection in the dropdown. The rein you choose will be tied to the hackamore before it’s sent to you.
How it works: Besides being eye-catching, the rawhide on the nose button gives a slightly stronger signal than a plain rope noseband gives. It also keeps the hackamore rounded across the nose.
